Marinas is inspired by human kind's delicate condition. As such, the reflection of this sympathy is manifested in his works. Pride, sorrow, faith, and sacrifice are all recurring themes that appear in his paintings, feelings that are compelling in his own life. To balance his perspective between pain and blessing, Marinas captures the serenity that faith brings and the beauty of life in his botanical subjects and landscapes.

Marinas currently lives in Manteca, California with his loving and supportive wife Aida, spending this time pursuing his passion for realizing his visions in paint. His three sons, daughter, and their families live close by in different parts of the Bay Area.
